Structural & Civil Consultants is unusual in that, through our sister company, Structural 3D Solutions, we are able to offer steel detailing in preparation for the fabrication.We currently have licences for:-

i)Two Strucad stations
ii)One X-Steel station.

The advantages of these programs is well known to fabrication specialists. However, the graphical capabilities of the detailing programs are seldom appreciated by architects and clients.

The package not only details every element, stiffener and bolt for fabrication, but as a whole the computer model gives the ability to “walk through the steel structure” and to view the 3-dimensional structure from any angle.

Not only does the Practice have the staff and software to provide a “one stop” service in the design and detailing of steelwork but we are also one of the few Practices that is able to utilise the power of new programs such as CSC Multistorey or Building Designer.  This allows one model to be created for analysis, design, detailing and fabrication. We have found this can offer significant cost savings.
